This AWESOME DRAWING competition will give your pupils the power of creativity. They can draw themselves as a superhero, create a new animal, human, robot or alien hero, or draw an everyday hero such as a nurse, police officer or firefighter.
They can really let their imaginations fly as they design costumes and think up amazing superpowers. You can even combine art and literacy by encouraging your pupils to add labels or a short description to their pictures.
Pictures chosen for publication will be published in a full-colour book, so get out the colouring pencils and pens for a colour explosion. Check out our Top Tips for fantastic looking pictures.
We know seeing their work in print is a fantastic motivator for pupils, and they'll love the prizes too! One drawing from each book will be chosen as a finalist to feature on the front cover and win the artist a £10 book token. From those finalists, the top 5 will win an amazing kit to make a cool den!

If you're after a creative writing competition for your pupils you are welcome to get involved with The Magic Map!
[Rules] =>
- Entries MUST be scanned for upload/email or the originals posted. We cannot accept photos of entries.
- Only one entry per pupil.
- There is no limit to the number of entries per school. Teachers please submit your entries together where possible! (Use one Teacher Entry Form for each teacher entering).
- Ask your pupils to draw on the entry form. It must fit in the space provided.
- Any labels or descriptions must also fit in the space provided.
- Ensure their name, age and school name are included.
- UK entrants only.
- Free to enter.
- Ideal for 4-7 year-olds, but pupils outside that age range are welcome to enter.
- Copyright remains with the artist.

The school that submits the best overall set of entries will win £1,000 and Young Writers' Award of Excellence.
PLUS every participating school receives a free copy of the book their pupils feature in!
(Remember, you receive 1 free copy for every 30 entries you submit! E.g. 1-30 entries you receive 1 copy, 31-60 entries you receive 2 copies, etc)
